Hands-on, Whole-body Care

“Working with Beth gave me hope that I could feel good in my body again, which also led to healing on a deeper level too; I feel calmer and closer to my authentic self again.”

Whole-body healing for pain relief and quality of life

Chronic pain impacts sleep, work, and time doing the things you love.

But it's possible to find relief and feel "normal" again.

Your body is designed to heal itself. With Myofascial Release, we give it the time and space to make that happen.

It's possible to loosen and rehydrate the fascia by applying the right amount of pressure for the right amount of time. Solace Physical Therapy & Myofascial Release uses the method developed by John F. Barnes to get to the root of your unexplained or chronic pain.

You can feel better

Maybe you’ve gone through weeks, months, or even years of treatments with doctors and specialists.

Maybe you’ve been told you need surgery or that you just need to work harder.

Even if you feel like you’ve tried everything, there is hope.

Myofascial Release can help with:

  • Sleep quality

  • Pain from old or new injuries

  • Recovery time

  • Anxiety

  • Back pain

  • Chronic pain

  • Stress relief

  • Scar healing and adhesions

About the healing practice of Myofascial Release

Our bodies have an intricate web of fascia running through us: a thin sheet of connective tissue that supports our organs, bones, nerves, and blood vessels. Myofascial Release works via manipulation and release of the fascia.

Myofascial work can help manage pain, improve range of motion, and calm the nervous system.

Treatments are designed to address the entire person — physically, energetically, and emotionally.

What my clients say

"Beth is an excellent therapist who listens to your concerns. The muscles in my leg were very tight, making it difficult to walk. With her treatment, my walking greatly improved and the muscle tightness has greatly reduced.

She is very outgoing and creates a warm, friendly environment. Her goal is to improve your life and health. I would highly recommend her."

Dennis W., Seattle, WA

"Since starting PT and myofascial release treatments with Beth, I have significantly less anxiety and now understand how pain and imbalances can be managed (and cured) with regular sessions of tension and fascia release.

During every single session with Beth, I fell into a trance of calm, of safety and of deep physical relaxation. This is exactly what I needed to heal my anxiety disorder and to completely rewire my nervous system. These sessions were like a physical meditation for my body, delivered straight into my fascia through Beth's magical hands. She was also a great listener, which supported my healing journey more than I can say.”

Stephanie S., Bellevue, WA

"I have been to many excellent, well-trained PTs since my stroke two years ago. I am thankful for all of them. But Beth has exceeded them all. Her combination of professional excellence and knowledge, along with a wonderfully encouraging attitude and relational compassion has been so very much appreciated.

I have less pain; I am much more confident walking and I have greatly improved my ability to walk. Also, I am experiencing more flexibility and less spasticity. Beth listens so well to me and my body.”

About Beth, PT

As a physical therapist, I’ve seen a lot of what works and what doesn’t.

Your body is designed to heal itself if given the right time, space, and focus. By listening to and watching the body, we facilitate its natural healing processes.

I began my career at Harborview Medical Center in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation before transitioning to outpatient neurology. While there, I learned about Myofascial Release, seeing patients who were stunned and grateful to find pain relief. I began training in John F. Barnes’ approach and deepened my expertise.

I get your real life. In mine, morning meditation is off the menu and coffee is required as I’m juggling family needs, including three kids. With any free time, I love movement: in the past, martial arts. Lately, hip-hop dance.

You deserve to feel good in your body. Myofascial Release is how I help make that happen.

“I had been suffering from back pain and sciatica for nearly 9 months when I found Beth. I had already tried conventional PT, acupuncture, massage, TENS, and even a corticosteroid injection and had seen limited improvement, so I was pretty discouraged.

The myofascial release technique seemed counterintuitive at first — it feels too gentle to be effective, and yet it worked wonders for me! It didn't happen overnight, but by the end my pain was substantially less, and I was able to stop NSAIDs. I've also noticed a big improvement in my lumbar range of motion, which allows me to do PT exercises and stretches more effectively. I'm so glad I found Beth and highly recommend her!
